Prompted by the Panama Papers scandal, this FEPS lunch – debate will discuss strategies and measures to better enhance a fair for all and progressive taxation at both the EU level and at the country level. It will make the case of the importance of moving forward towards more progressivity in the taxation system at large, and it will discuss ways to strengthen international cooperation for tax compliance. To that end, it will seek an answer to a question on how to collect and invest revenues, so that they help fighting inequalities, forge social justice and help boosting Europe’s potential in societal, human and economic sense.
