The Feminist Foreign Policy Progressive Voices Collective (FFPPVC)held its next thematic closed-door meeting as part of its ongoing work to shape progressive approaches to feminist foreign policy in Europe and beyond.

The session featured updates on the Collective’s upcoming activities, including the fourth Ministerial Conference on feminist foreign policy on 22-23 October 2025 in Paris.

Machris Cabreros, Co-Chair of the network and Coordinator at Progressive Alliance, opened the discussion. A central point of discussion was a peer review session on the Collective’s forthcoming policy brief on Strategic Interests behind the Implementation of a Feminist Foreign Policy at EU level. It was presented by the author  Leonie Stamm (DGAP) and commentary from Ann Linde, former Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden and the members of the Collective.

Participants also engaged in parallel breakout discussions on:

  • Women in the Multilateral Space and Decision-Making, with input from Maria Fernanda Espinosa (GWL Voices, former President of the 73rd UN General Assembly).
  • Strategy for the Upcoming FFP Conference in Paris, featuring Cecilia Vidotto Labastie (Gender in Geopolitics Institute).

Laeticia Thissen, Senior Policy Analyst on Gender Equality at FEPS and Agnes Mach, Policy Officer on Gender Justice at Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung EU Office are moderating the meeting.

Since its launch in October 2023, the FFPPVC has served as a platform for progressive-minded academics, policymakers, and civil society representatives to exchange perspectives and influence policy developments on feminist foreign policy. These closed-door thematic meetings enable members to share expertise, refine strategies, and deepen the feminist lens on global affairs.

For more information regarding this event, please do not hesitate to contact Laeticia Thissen, Senior Policy Analyst on Gender Equality, FEPS (laeticia.thissen@feps-europe.eu) or Julia Wild, Project Officer, FEPS (julia.wild@feps-europe.eu).
