From 5 to 7 June 2026, a Training of Trainers (ToT) weekend took place in The Hague, the Netherlands, organised by FEPS in cooperation with Foundation Max van der Stoel and Karl-Renner-Institut. Focusing on digital topics, the event brought together experienced and aspiring trainers from across the European Union, creating a unique space for cross-border learning, exchange, and collaboration within the progressive family.

The programme ran from Friday evening through a full day on Saturday and concluded on Sunday morning. It was guided by Kido Koenig, Director of FMS, an experienced facilitator and enriched by contributions from two experts, Monty Aal, FEPS Policy Analyst on Digital, and Ángela González Montes, Expert on disinformation.

The ToT aimed to upskill a representative group from the existing FEPS Pool of Trainers, strengthen participants’ capacity to design and deliver engaging training sessions on digital topics, and share methodologies, tools, and best practices for digital training design. Beyond developing individual skills, the programme fostered collaboration and exchange within the European network of trainers, encouraging mutual learning and strengthening the collective capacity of progressive organisations across Europe to address the opportunities and challenges of the digital age.

By bringing together trainers from diverse backgrounds, the weekend further reinforced the FEPS Pool of Trainers as a vibrant community of practice, committed to mutual support, knowledge-sharing, and the promotion of progressive values across borders.

For more information regarding this training, please do not hesitate to contact Elena Gil, Training and Project Coordinator (elena.gil@feps-europe.eu), or Iris Vijverberg, FEPS Project Officer (iris.vijverberg@feps-europe.eu).
