Migration

We must end the toxic dominant narrative that portrays migration as a threat – it is a major driver of development and prosperity! At FEPS, we took action to change this narrative.

A fully packed room emphasised the demand for an honest and legitimate conversation on migration. The Progressive Migration Group—equally composed of African and European experts—presented its policy proposals on a human-rights and development approach to migration and asylum and recommendations on adopting a new narrative.

In collaboration with Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung

This event provided a platform for a vibrant debate and an inclusive dialogue on an equal level with voices that tend to be neglected in the conversation on migration.

On this occasion, the PMG presented the culmination of two years of work, including a publication series focusing on different aspects of the EU’s migration management.
