On January 29, the FEPS traditional New Year Reception took place. At this event, FEPS launched a new edition of the Progressive Yearbook, and we also unveiled the Progressive Person of the Year.

The Progressive Yearbook 2024-2025

The Progressive Yearbook (PYB) was published for the first time in 2019-20, and is an important innovation, especially as part of the Progressive Publication family. This event was dedicated to the launch of the sixth edition of the Progressive Yearbook.

With the mission of bringing forward analyses of the key political developments of the year, the Progressive Yearbook focuses on transversal European issues that have left a mark on 2024. It brings insightful future-looking analysis and symbolises FEPS’ readiness to put it into perspective.

Among the speakers at the event:

  • Maria João Rodrigues, President, FEPS
  • László Andor, Secretary General, FEPS
  • Lina Gálvez Muñoz, MEP, S&D Group & FEPS Vice-President
  • Lucia Annunziata, MEP, S&D Group
  • Karolina Leaković, International Secretary, SDP Croatia
  • Giacomo Benedetto, Jean Monnet Chair in European Union Politics, Royal Holloway, University of London
  • Vassilis Ntousas, Senior Manager for Europe and Fellow, Alliance for Securing Democracy, GMF
  • The event will be moderated by László Andor

Progressive Person of the Year

In 2025, we were honoured to award Mr. Gintautas Paluckas, Prime Minister of Lithuania, as the Progressive Person of the Year 2025, who joined the event remotely.

MEP Vytelis Povilas Andriukaitis received the award on behalf of the Prime Minister.
